Helen was the judge, I was the assistant, and we both took care of all the flowers & plants at the Oconto County Youth Fair! You’re not going to want to miss seeing all the beautiful flowers!

Matt and I have the privilege of assisting at the check in of projects at the Oconto County Youth Fair in Gillett. This job is perfect for us. We get to see some of our customers and see how their veggies and flowers grew this year. Good luck to Renee Fabry and all the other competitors. It is a great week for the Fair. Went to a place called the Secret Garden in Door County with my favorite Sister and Daughter! It is a hidden garden that you can have a glass of wine, lite lunch, and explore a garden.

Another photo from Buyerfest. As soon as you enter the blow out barn people are scrambling to grab containers. Greenhouse owners grab cases and start stacking their finds on pallets outside the barn. Matt and I had to make sure we didn’t buy more that would fit in our car!!! It is so fun!

Matt and I went to Buyerfest this week at the fair grounds in West Bend. This is where we buy containers and supplies needed for the greenhouse. I just think this video is funny. The doors open at Noon and then it is a race to get to the blow out barn. Product in the blowout barn is cash and carry, reduced price product. There are great containers in there…..plus many not so great containers🤪. Matt and I found many nicely priced pots that we think you, the customer, will like!

You don’t have to have a lot of space to have a garden. Matt and I like to keep it simple during the summer because we tend to be gone a lot. We have one tomato plant, 2 pots with pepper plants( 2 plants per pot and all different varieties), one pot with herbs( basil and cilantro), and 1 pot with cucumbers. We will have plenty to eat for our family of 4 with very little fuss or care. And I want to shout out a big THANK YOU to all the customers that drop off veggies for us. We are so blessed and grateful! Hope you are all enjoying the fruits of your labor!

Matt and I had the privilege of going over to a friends home last night to tour her gardens. She had about 80 planters, many flower beds, and the cutest potting shed ever!! Another blessing is that this great gal works for The Flower Shoppe Greenhouse. Thanks Bonnie!
