GIMME SHELTER: hand-pulled lino print on masa paper. A few are now available at the Octagon Center for the Arts Shop. If you’re in downtown Ames, pop on down and check it. It’ll be a hoot…sorry, couldn’t resist.

Today in The Art Lair: the test-print of my latest design, GIMME SHELTER.

I’m kinda biased, but—damn—looks pretty good to me. Will still need to go over the block one more time to sharpen up some details before printing the for-real edition.

That said, if this design intrigues you, stay tuned. You should be seeing available prints soon in those select places to get SHA merch.

Carving DONE! This one was a squinter—lots of tiny details that my old eyes don’t appreciate. Anyway, should have a test print up in a few days. Then I’ll fire off a small edition (15-20 prints) after that. Block size is 8x10. May print on 8x10 or 11x14 paper—still deciding.
