This Mother’s Day carries a deeper weight for me than ever before.

This is my first Mother’s Day without my mom, and I’ve found myself seeing this day through a new lens. Grief has a way of making love feel even more sacred, reminding you of all the little moments, the lessons, the sacrifices, and the presence you may not have fully understood until you’re carrying them in memory.

Losing my mom has made me even more aware of the quiet strength mothers carry every day. The way they show up, love deeply, hold families together, and give so much of themselves, often without asking for anything in return.

To the moms who show up daily, even when they’re exhausted…
To the single moms doing the work of two…
To the women who mother others so selflessly, whether or not they have children of their own…
To the dog moms, bonus moms, and chosen moms…
To those missing their moms today, or children they’ve lost…
To the moms who are struggling, fighting silent battles while pouring love into others…
I see you. I honor you. I’m grateful for you.

This year, I understand more than ever what a sacred role it is to be a mother, and what a gift it is to be loved by one.
