If anybody on facebook has seen post with this photo, lease bring more attention to this!! Chickens, while they are breeds that are for meat, doesn't mean they should have to suffer. In the picture below, these red dots on the meat are injuries are from lice. Not cured. They were left to suffer with the lice, and nobody helped them. People who raise chickens for meat, most the time, hatch, throw them in a room, feed them, give them water, and butcher them 2-3 month later. Most the time they raise meat birds, and are butchered at 10 weeks. We raise our couple chickens with love, and and treats. Along with our quail, even though they will be butchered once they stop laying, that doesn't mean I don't treat them with respect and thank them for their eggs (as silly as it sounds i do!!) They get pets, and treats to. our chicks are raised with care, and handled daily. Please raise more awareness to this post, and do the right thing. Birds have feelings aswell, and feel emotions just like us. Some people may think they are just stupid brainless birds, but they truly are smart.
