Red, white, blue… and loaded with toffee, too! 🇺🇸🍪
These soft and chewy 4th of July cookies are packed with festive chocolate candies and chopped Gig Harbor Candy Company Milk Chocolate English Toffee. They’re the perfect dessert for BBQs, fireworks, and backyard celebrations!
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled for 5 minutes
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg + 1 egg yolk, room temperature
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 bag Gig Harbor Candy Company Milk Chocolate English Toffee, roughly chopped
3/4 cup red, white, and blue chocolate candies
Steps:
Whisk together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until combined. Fold in the chopped English Toffee and chocolate candies.
Cover and chill the dough for at least 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Scoop dough into large balls, spacing them about 3 inches apart.
Bake for 13–14 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are still soft.
Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Add a few extra chocolate candies and toffee pieces on top while the cookies are warm, if desired.
