It’s always more fun when they’re around…I’ve tried to explain it, and every time it just sounds sappy and way over the top, but the reality is, because it is JUST that… Way over the top. This business relationship was destined from the very first time we met, but it flourished because of a deep-rooted, mutual respect for, and admiration of one another, and a friendship that will always stand the test of time. We’re the most agreeable group of gals I’ve ever met, and while we discuss business every single day, so much of our time is learning all the tics and tocks that make our lives work, like the six bites of spaghetti and three Baby Carrots Emily Yordy Sevits brings for lunch, or the five grandbabies of which Melissa Gardner Miller can’t see enough (like literally can’t see enough). All that said, em+me boutique doesn’t have my heart because they run a great business, which they do, or because they’re caring, compassionate, and considerate friends, which they are, or because they hold their families so closely, it’s impossible to describe how much their days change when their people are happy…Ultimately, they have my heart because they’re good people, and they feel bigger when my days are fuller. No tit for tat, no disagreements, just conversations, moving with intention, joy, acceptance, all the laughs, and even more love. What a rarity that is. So tomorrow, stop by and see us both (we’re finally able to return a very large favor even though they’d never expect it) at 203 E Pike Street here in Cynthiana, Kentucky. Our shelves aren’t nearly as full as we’d like, but no fears…This is August, and we’re in a season of product transition. This will give us plenty of time to work out all the kinks, and the Fall will be hustling and bustling with all the new! Looking so forward to seeing you tomorrow from 10am-5pm! This week has been a-somethin’! This signnnnn! Patrick Ford , you’re amazing! Thank you for the most perfect creation and installation, and Kelsi Strawzell Ward , thank you for working with all our crazy to design the most perfect logo. Plus, it’s absolutely oh-so-much fun when you all grow up and one of your faves from high school, has a little sister who becomes one of your faves from now…How grateful we are that all the right people have landed in our lives, and even send us flowers on some of our most special days 😉. In the midst of it all, Maime sits in the background, cheering us on…Our Cynthiana location will soft open at 10am this upcoming Wednesday, em+me boutique should be set, and we hope you’ll come and see us.
