Dear Friends,
As stores and restaurants are reopening all around us, and shopping and dining venues are working hard to keep everyone safe and healthy, we are truly appreciative of the immense support from our loyal customers and first time visitors as The Olive Mill stores transition to the “new normal.” It is gratifying to be asked by so many of our customers - “How are you doing, are you going to make it through these challenging times?” Thanks to friends like you, we are doing better than anticipated and all signs indicate that we will be able to stay open and continue to provide you with the quality Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars you have come to depend upon to keep “cooking and living healthy.” As our way of saying “thanks,” we are offering “Double Point Days” this weekend in our Carmel, Geneva and Saugatuck stores. Receive double Fivestars reward points for all sales Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Simply respond to the Fivestars announcement you received via text or email and the reward will be activated for your account!
We are still offering “Grab and Go” orders in all of our shops, if you prefer to keep contact to a minimum. Just give us a call and we will bottle your oils and vinegars and have them bagged and ready to “grab and go” just inside the door when you enter our store. If you prefer to shop in person, we ask you to keep a safe distance from other shoppers and staff, and please ask if you would like to have a sample poured or a bottle filled. We will be happy to take care of that for you, safely. Please follow local guidelines on the wearing of masks. Unfortunately, we are still unable to refill bottles as directed by temporary state policies to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
Even in these stressful times, our goal is to continue to offer you a relaxing shopping experience, friendly customer service and products to make everything you cook more flavorful and healthful. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and thank you for allowing us to survive the unique challenges of the past four months. Our wish for us all is to be stronger and healthier in the years to come.

We are open our regular hours, Monday through Saturday from 10 am until 5 pm and on Sunday from 11 am until 4 pm. Call ahead to place a "Grab & Go" order and your oils and vinegars will be bottled, bagged and ready to "grab & go" when you arrive. Here is a fun and easy recipe to make with the kids for a "stay at home" day treat. The whole family will enjoy a "Crispy Rice Treat" made better with the goodness of Butter Olive Oil!

INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons The Olive Mill Butter Olive Oil
1 package (10 oz., about 40) Marshmallows
-- OR --
4 cups Miniature Marshmallows
6 cups Crisp Rice cereal
Melted chocolate, optional

DIRECTIONS
1. In large saucepan heat Butter Olive Oil over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
2. Add Rice cereal. Stir until well coated.
3. Using oiled spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan lightly coated with oil. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Drizzle with melted chocolate, if desired.

We appreciate that you have placed your trust in The Olive Mill for oils and vinegars for good health and great cuisine. We will be changing some of our procedures to limit risk of exposure to the Coronavirus to both our customers and our employees. We hope to be able to continue to provide the oils and vinegars you have come to depend upon in your daily lives, and do so in the safest way. As always, we will be following guidelines from our local health departments. We have embraced the recommendations from the CDC and NIH, as well. We have increased regular cleaning and sanitization of all surfaces in our shops that are regularly contacted by customers and employees.

Starting today, if you visit us in our shops, we be assisting all customers with sampling, so that only our employees will come into contact with our stainless steel tanks and spouts. We appreciate your patience, as we understand that this may take a bit longer than with our normal sampling procedures. Unfortunately, we will not be able to refill your empty bottles until further notice due to Health Department guidelines.

Also, we will be offering a new service to make it easier for you to enjoy our products and stay safe. Phone in your order to any of our shops, and your products will be ready for pick up when you arrive. Step inside and your order will be available for you to "grab and go."
