This biscuit box came in the other day with a stack of Peekskill ephemera. I don’t usually take 3 dimensional items but this one talked to me. The 3rd photo with the Peekskill stamp on the box clenched the deal so here it is..
Constructed in New York c 1898 I really like the label design & colors along with the type face and condition.

It just feels right when a person gets an antique image of their totem. This photo was taken today at the Peekskill Coffee House. The totem is a whale and it is printed in color on a French trade card from around 1890.

I have always liked dissected maps. Their appeal is that they are a cross between Maps and Ephemera. Both are areas of interest to me. These examples are from the 1870’s to 80’s. I have them earlier but finding them with all the pieces is very difficult. The earliest one we have had was the 1790’s that included Cooks voyages.

I had a lovely visit by a very enthusiastic customer who really wanted to add to her Dore illustrated book collection. We only had an 1871 Bible with his illustrations so she started to look at early imprints, that is when I pulled out the vellum music sheets. No exact date but I have this as being late 1400’s hand painted with color capital letters.
