Every story has a beginning.

For The Beloved Book Co., it began with a dream that slowly became too meaningful to ignore: the idea of creating a bookstore where people could gather, browse, discover, connect, and feel included.

Part One shares the inspiration behind opening a bookstore, the little sparks that started the idea, and the moment the dream began to feel possible.

This is where the story began.

Eileen’s Latest Book Review!

The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett has officially earned a spot among Eileen’s favorite reads of 2026.

Set in 1933 Mississippi, this Southern historical fiction novel is filled with hardship, humor, friendship, survival, and women who refuse to be underestimated. But the character who completely stole Eileen’s heart was Meg: an 11-year-old orphan who is funny, scrappy, and absolutely unforgettable.

If you loved “The Help,” enjoy historical fiction, strong female characters, found family stories, and books that make you laugh and cry, this one needs to be on your TBR.

🎧 P.S.: Eileen highly recommends the audiobook!

The narration brings every character to life with distinct voices and an incredible Southern accent.

Almost one year ago, The Beloved Book Co. opened its doors with a dream of becoming more than a bookstore.

As we get ready to celebrate our first birthday, we're sharing The Beloved Beginning, a five-part story of how this little bookstore came to be.
