Giving my new left-handed petite honesuki its first test run. Made by the talented . Beautiful handle and excellent edge. I believe it is 154CM.

I got a new personal best time for a complete deboning of under 15 minutes.

Just completed an amazing 3-day workshop with ! I learned so much! Much appreciation and awe for his skills and passion.

I was glad and happy to learn we share many similar interests. Thank you for the friendship and sharing your knowledge/research! Can't wait for my own set of chisel/tools!

Part of learning and practicing TIG welding is making mistakes. Prepping and grinding some 3/32" tungsten electrodes a 3D printed Dremel diamond disc jig. It helps make the process bearable.

Also get out there and ! I got my sticker and a cool paper stylus. Now I don't have to take off my gloves to use my phone.

First beads on my new . TIG welding the notch on a pair of tool steel C-frame guillotines. We think it's 1045 or something similar, so I used some of my Weld Mold 927 (4140 filler).

This is 3/8" plate, so we cut a V notch in order to bend it. I welded it to make it strong again. I can't wait to see it when it's done.

First finished project of #2020. Been wanting to try my hand at a traditional for a long time. They are made in pairs. These are wrought iron with W2 welded on one side. Worked one of them a little too cold and it split a little.

I learned a lot this round and made notes on how I could do better. I still need to finish these out. I hope everyone is having a great start to the new year.

This way of mounting the Swage Cube was shared with me by String Bean. He welded together a box and shank that fit his anvil.

PSA: I recommend that if you are going to be making hardy tools using a sledge hammer, that you make a safety collar to protect the edges from any errant blows.

I used about a 16" piece of angle iron with cuts at 4" at the bends.
