We made it.

The past few months have been a blur of what we’re calling the 4 T’s:
Taxes, Tubers, Tulips… and swinging Temperatures.

And the weather really didn’t hold back—snow, wind, freezing nights (21°F… really?), and even an earthquake thrown in for fun.

But it’s Tax Day, and we’re finally coming up for air over here.

So we’re celebrating.

🌸 Final week to shop dahlia tubers
🌸 Take an extra 15% off (on top of existing savings)

🌸 Shipping season is HERE—I’m beyond excited to send Coralie (and more!) off to their forever gardens this week! 🌸

This blush beauty is hands-down one of my favorites: that soft, romantic pink with champagne undertones just glows in summer palettes. Perfect for mixing with bold magentas, creamy whites, or anything fun and flirty.

Big recommendation: Grab extras and plant in two successions! She comes on early and strong, handles a hard cut-back like a champ (fresh flush in a few weeks), so two plantings = zero downtime on blooms. Non-stop Coralie all season!

Bulk packs are ready—link in bio to snag yours before they’re gone. Who’s planting Coralie this year? Tag a friend who needs this in their cutting garden! 💕

First day of spring hits different when you’re a flower farmer 🌱✨

We made it through another “winter” (not sure it even came this year?!), and the farm is alive: daffs blooming bright, tulips pushing up, and those dahlia tubers finally stirring with little sprouts.

Nothing beats that first sign of life after months of planning and waiting. We’re thrilled to start shipping dahlia orders next week—right when you want to get them in the ground!

We’ve restocked favorites and added some stunners: Irish Ruffles, Small World, Jowey Winnie (that warm pink-peach is going to glow in bouquets). Bulk options are live too, all varieties discounted while inventory’s fresh.

Already placed an order? Combine shipping with code BLOOMTOGETHER—just add your original order # at checkout. Free shipping over $150 makes grabbing extras or trying new ones easy.

Who’s adding to their collection this spring? Link in comments to shop before packing starts! 💐

Happy St. Patrick’s Day 🍀

How is it St. Patrick’s Day and it feels like early May?! ☀️🌷

I’m not complaining about the sunshine, but I am a little thrown off.

After so many years of farming and gardening, you start to recognize the feel of a season. The way the sun hits, the temperatures, even the soil—it all starts to signal where you’re at in the year.

And right now, everything is telling me mid-April… maybe even early May.

The tulips look like they’re going to be ready this week or next, the days feel long, and I can feel myself shifting into that full growing-season rhythm…

…and then I remember it’s mid-March. 😅

Meanwhile we’re still deep in tax season, squeezing in planting and propagating around office hours, trying to keep up with a season that suddenly feels like it sped way up.

I thought I might just be overthinking it, so I went back through old photos—and yep, we’re easily a couple weeks ahead.

Does it feel off to anyone else, or do you just trust what the season is doing? 🌿

Spring is gently greeting us and I’ve been mapping out our dahlia patch.

It’s one of my favorite tasks of the year. I plant in an ombré rainbow, which is wildly satisfying to me. Soft peaches into corals, corals into deeper pinks, and by the second succession I’m ending in the moodier fall tones and those softened oranges that become so in demand later in the season.

It feels dreamy while I’m sketching it out… and then the practical side comes in. Strong stems. Good producers. Varieties that actually earn their space in the rows.

These are a few still available if you’re mapping out your own summer patch.

Winter was here a few days ago… now we’ve got a stretch of spring weather and a lot to pack in.

This weekend we lift the first silage tarp and get the ranunculus in the ground.

Silage tarping helps us suppress crabgrass, sow thistle, prickly lettuce and bindweed, reduce pest habitat, and keep beds ready when the weather shifts.

It’s how we stay ahead instead of constantly playing catch up.

People see the blooms.
They rarely see the winter prep behind them.

If you want to learn more about how we use this method, comment TARP and I’ll send you the guide.

If I had to narrow it down to five dahlias that truly earn their space on our farm… these would be them.

Not just because they’re beautiful but because they check every box that matters when you’re growing for weddings, markets and florists.

Strong stems.
Easy harvesting.
Stems that actually sell.
Heavy tuber producers.
And colors that work across the most desired palettes.

Ryecroft Jan is my forever white. I can sell every stem without question.

Sweet Nathalie continues to outperform season after season in both blooms and tuber production.

Rose Toscano gives us that gorgeous variation and depth designers love.

Cornel Bronze brings all the fall richness with incredible vase life.

And Linda’s Baby… she just does not stop producing and is one of the first to start the show.

If you’re building a productive and profitable dahlia lineup, these are varieties I would plant again without hesitation.

Some of these beauties are still waiting in the tuber shop.

Winter finally showed up.

And just as quickly as the moody clouds rolled in and dropped snow, the sun returned and the temperatures started climbing. In just a few days, it will be a hazy memory.

That is how it goes here.

While winter teases us, we are already preparing for spring, starting with butterfly ranunculus.

We soaked them.
We pre-sprouted them.
Now it is time to plant so we can soon harvest and enjoy.

Not just for ourselves, but for our brides, fellow florists, and this community we are so grateful to grow for.

The push leading up to our dahlia tuber launch is always a big one.

Long days of dividing. Tired fingers. Sore backs. And yes, sometimes even a few tears when the pressure starts to build.

We know there are so many wonderful places to buy tubers. Every year there is that quiet whisper of doubt asking if all the work will be worth it.

And then you show up.

You show up in the likes, the shares, and the kind comments.
In orders of all sizes.
In the emails complimenting the quality of our tubers.
And later in the season, in the photos you send of dahlias blooming in your gardens, your fields, and your designs.

The fatigue softens when we see that.

Because it is worth it.

You make it worth it.

From the bottom of our family’s very full hearts, thank you for showing up for our farm in all the ways you do 🤍

P.S. There are still a few pretties waiting for their forever gardens if you’ve been thinking about adding to your patch this season.

Trust the process 🌱

It always starts like this…
Drilling holes in the dirt. Dust everywhere. Cold hands. Mud on your boots.

And then somehow… months later…
those same holes turn into armfuls of blooms.

The dinner plates.
The ruffles.
The colors you didn’t even know flowers could be.

Dahlia season feels far away when you’re planting… but this is where the magic begins.

If you’re dreaming about a garden full of them this summer, our tuber shop is officially open 🤍

We stocked it with our favorite farm-grown varieties — the ones that make people stop in their tracks.
