Chapters Bookshop is located in the heart of downtown Galax, Virginia! Renovations were completed on the historic building in 2006.

The 1904 building which is now home to Chapters Bookshop has previously served as a department store, a ladies’ clothing shop, and a consignment shop. The building boasts original hardwood floors and tin ceilings, with plenty of room to house our ever-growing selection of books, clothing, decor, and gift items. We carry Willow Tree angels, Mama Says figurines, and other collectibles, as well as wh

imsical children’s lines such as Melissa and Doug wooden puzzles and toys. Chapters Bookshop has hundreds of new and used books, and we place special orders for those harder-to-find titles upon request. Check out our Used Book Policy tab for information on trading your used books at Chapters!
