She is tasked with repairing the manor in one month, or ownership passes to her most hated childhood enemy. This is a delightfully cozy historical fantasy set in post-WWI England. There is magic and a smidge of romance (zero spice) and it is perfect for an afternoon with your favourite cup of Book Nook tea. There are themes of found family, loss, grief, and what makes a house a home, but this book is an easy read that does not ask anything more of you than to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the storytelling. 3.75/5

I wanted to do a share of Bushel & Peck’s amazing cakes. This is now our third cake from them, after a Valentine’s Day, and graduation cake. They are stunning every time and are quickly becoming a family tradition. Thank you Peyton and your team behind these masterpieces!

Thank you again to everyone at the market yesterday! Book Nook Cafe is now in its 5th month and things are going better than ever for us. We are planning on getting our menu updated somewhat and adding some fall recipes soon. I can’t believe how far we’ve come in such a short amount of time. I have some daydreams of t-shirts and books books books! Plus mugs as always. I’m also looking into hosting coffee roasts from around the country and state, to bring everyone some new coffee experiences soon.
