FreeRide Surf and Skate Shop Gainesville's hometown surf and skate shop for over 25 years. We have moved 2 mins north in the Lloyd Clarke Sports plaza. We can’t wait to see everyone again!

We primarily focus on skateboards & longboards along with a small selection of surfboards, surf racks, pads, wax, leashes, and more! FreeRide has moved 2 minutes north of our previous location of 26 years. That property is being developed for another apartment complex. Previous managers, Raina and Peter, are the now the proud owners of FreeRide and look forward to providing you with the same excel

lent customer service you’ve received for the past 14 years. We pride ourselves in being knowledgeable in everything we sell. FreeRide has always been a place you can feel welcomed as a newbie or a veteran. Our new location is much smaller, but still packed with all the skateboarding gear and surfing accessories you’re used to. We no longer focus on sandals, premium sunglass brands, or paddle boards. New & Used surfboards will be added as they arrive over the next few weeks. Apparel will be limited at first as we slowly stock up the store. As with most small retail businesses, COVID-19 has slowed down the supply chain and some products/brands are difficult to find. Typically if we don’t have access to it, no one does. We will keep our social media updated as new products arrive. Many items go quickly due to high demand. Thanks to all of our customers that choose to shop local!

Each wave is hand cut, sanded, stained, painted, and finished with 2 coats of indoor/outdoor high gloss polyurethane. Prices range from $75-$200 based on size.
