Perspective changes everything.

The disciples had already seen Jesus miraculously feed the 5,000 with only five loaves. Yet later they still started to worry about not having enough bread - amongst EACHOTHER. They hadn't even went to him to talk about it. Silly right??? But aren't we JUST like that?

Fill in the blank for yourself. Jesus is asking today: "Why are you discussing the fact that you have no __________________?"

Instead of thinking and talking about what we don't have, can we focus on the miracles God HAS done for us?

What Name did he display to you? What did you learn about his nature and his ways?

I've toyed around with the idea of taking orders for a couple of years now. Gifting bread as my heart desires is my love language BUT I understand that some folks would like to enjoy it more often than when I feel like it. 😆

Something shifted and I finally accepted my first order this past week. Now I'm posting it for the masses to gauge interest. Ya see sourdough isn't just bread to me. It's a testimony. Which is why it's always felt wrong to put a price on it.

It isn't just bread with simple ingredients and delicious texture. I learned to bake sourdough when I had nearly nothing to my name. God used it to teach me like the prophet and the widow with a little bit of oil. It taught me that what I already had was enough. What I had was Jesus, the Bread of Life.
Sourdough starter is alive and active (sound familiar😁?). No matter how much I consume and regardless of how much I give away - as long as I keep feeding it - it will never run out. Actually, there have been times I have TOO MUCH starter and if I don't give it away, I'll have to discard it.

If you've ever received starter or a loaf from me know that it's strategic. I pray about who to give it to and I pray that Jehovah Jireh - the God who provided something out of nothing for me -would reveal more of His sufficiency to anyone who consumes it. I pray that their life busts at the seams with provision so much so that their heart becomes naturally tender and generous. I pray the barns of their life are so full that they HAVE to give freely to others to make room for all of God's blessings. I pray that as they give generously God would continue to double their provisions like my sourdough starter has to double in order to be used. So even as I consider offering custom orders my prayer stays the same, may the reach of those little prayers just expand and perpetuate.
