These are the current colors of skWORM that are dyed up and ready to ship. I've been throwing samples in some of my regular customers' orders and I can't wait to see what they tie. I'm experimenting with some gradients and saturated colors that will work in a variety of patterns and fishing conditions.

Introducing skWORM! I started dyeing wormy colors thinking this is a great material for beginners and quick production-style tying, then I realized it would make a great claw on crayfish patterns. The finished result is much more three dimensional than the laser cut claws I have used in the past. I think both worm and craw applications have a nice presentation and I can't wait to see how else people use this material! Let me know if you have color ideas...

It is such a privilege to teach the next generation about stewardship of our waterways, safe handling of fish (his hands were wet - we're working on keeping the fish in the water, but it's hard to manage that excitement), and the art of fly fishing. I used to love fishing the trout streams near Ithaca growing up, and now that I live in Fulton and am busy with kids I don't get as many opportunities for stream fishing. We had a great time fishing for some trout yesterday before regular season opened, and Graham helped net a few fish and reel them in. This summer we will be working on more fly tying and getting him comfortable choosing the right flies, casting, and targeting a variety of species. One thing to work on will be not throwing the whole rod in the air and yelling "woohoo" as soon as the fish is netted! He was very proud to have his own fly box from Ithaca Fishing Day. Hopefully he will grow into the lifelong love of fly fishing that inspired Nash Flyworks!

One of the products I'm really proud of is these tapered nymph backs. The material is iridescent and slightly stretchy, creating a beautiful sectioned body on nymphs. It is designed to go from tail through the thorax and grabs to the body when ribbed. Try tying it with hares ears or stoneflies. Each pack contains 4 dozen nymph backs, so it’s plenty of material for you to fill your boxes with multiple patterns.
