I grew up fishing and playing in the waters around Rockport,TX and knew this is where I had to live. I decided this was going to be my full time home so my wonderful wife and I loaded up the dog and made the transition. Since then we have added another fur child to our mix and I went to work Kayaking. I am a certified wildlife guide, a TPWD licensed All-Water Paddlecraft Guide, TPWD Angler Educator, and an ACA certified instructor.

As some of you may know, we took control of Viking Kayaks USA last year. This step was a big one in our lives and it meant having to dial back some of Rockport Kayaks offerings. We tried to keep up with both businesses but found that to be difficult. We appreciate all the support of the past years, but at this time we have decided to change the direction of Rockport Kayak. We will be focusing more on education and training in paddlesports. We are working with local and national entities to make Paddlesports education and training more available in Texas. With the increase in popularity of kayaking, we feel there is a void in this area for instruction in technique and safety. We will still offer ecotours, just on a smaller scale. Again, thank you to all our customer/friends over the years. We would be able to make these changes without your support. Keep an eye out for upcoming announcements.
