We are making tubes! A little "behind the scenes" look at the start of one Hank tube set just getting started. In 25 hours it will be completed.

I will be getting The Hank listed on the store today with some more information over the next several days. I will have bare tubes in stock (limited numbers) for immediate shipping. Full rigging will take a couple days to ship (also limited to the number of tubes on hand).

Let’s be honest… I have been a poor communicator. I said I would have information available 2 weeks ago, then I vanished. I can give you excuses but it wouldn’t matter, would it? What I will give you is this picture.

What is this picture? This is the first picture of the first stock print for “The Hank”, ThatGuy’s in well tube system. Once this print completes successfully, photos will be taken, The Hank will be listed on the website, and I’ll be open to taking some orders.

It’s alive!

“The Hank” is ThatGuy’s in well dual tube solution. This is the first powered run and final test. The flow you see here is created by 800gph pumps (one per tube) and 8” of water in the live well. There is an easy access mount that I’ll highlight in a future post prior to full listing.

“The Jackson” has been fully assembled and installed! Jackson Davis will be running his 2 unit setup tomorrow (if the weather cooperates) with Rule 500gph pumps. The Jackson uses ThatGuy’s standard tube design which aims to keep two medium sized baits alive in each tube. By utilizing a full column of moving water, multiple baits last longer in a single tube. The Jackson’s dual tube design ensures 50% of the overflow water is returned to the reservoir. This reduces the demand on the boat’s supply pumps. One or more two tube units can be used for any solution where the reservoir has 10.5” of depth available and a supply that is 2/3 the total tube pump capacity.

The Jackson will be listed on the ThatGuy shop in the coming days. Expected pricing for a single, wired system with Hubble plug, is $500. A single unit with no pumps or wiring is expected to list at $375.

Remember, “a single unit” is two tubes.

An in well system is nearing completion. The Jackson can be used in well with adequate sized bait wells (contact me directly for details).

ThatGuy is currently 3 weeks to delivery for full tube systems (slightly faster for plain tubes). This will change with demand. All tubes are produced in house (literally, on the dinning room table at times). I will be very clear and open about delivery time lines to ensure you know what to expect.

And for those curious, that is not the final lid. Never use non-marine plywood for a lid application. The plywood here is just reinforcing an acrylic sheet that was supplied incorrectly. But when you have the crew coming at 3am the next morning, you make it work!

ThatGuy’s adjustable, lid mounted, dual tuna tube will be available for orders soon. Based on the same proven tube as our single lid mounted tube, this combo unit returns 50% of the overflow to the well while sending the other 50% outside the system. Designed for a 500-1100gph pump, the 3/4” NTP threaded inlet allows direct attachment of the pumps.

Jackson Davis, first mate on Full Hookups Sportfishing, gets the name recognition for these. It was his “man, I’d really like…” that led to this design. Jackson, let’s get some fish!

I was asked “why are you designing and building tuna tubes?” I explained the importance of live bait to the sport-fishermen, the importance of the sport-fisherman to local economies and environments. But if I’m being honest? It’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
