Inspired to help Grandparents send their grandkids fun gifts, eliminating (not so exciting) gift cards and/or checks! My name is Kendall Caprio, and I am the creator of WalliBox. After a fulfilling career as a consultant, helping companies prepare for IPOs and audits, I realized I was missing out on precious family time as both a mother and grandmother. The name WalliBox was inspired by my 4-year-
old grandson, who adorably mispronounced my grandma name “Lolli” as “Walli.”
WalliBox was born out of a desire to bring grandparents and grandchildren closer together through shared monthly experiences. It’s a monthly surprise box designed for kids aged 4-12. Grandparents often struggle to find the perfect gifts for this age group, resorting to checks or gift cards. WalliBox solves this problem by curating 4-7 popular items tailored to the child’s age. These items can include stuffed animals, craft or STEM projects, activity books, fidget toys, and other age-appropriate gifts. Each box also includes a “Lolli” pop and a Thank You card with postage, encouraging children to send a note back to the gift-giver. We also suggest that children share a picture or video of their unboxing experience, allowing the sender to be part of the joy. My daughter does this with my grandson, and it always brings a huge smile to my face. Even from afar, I feel connected to the experience. WalliBox operates on a monthly subscription basis to foster regular interaction, but subscriptions can be canceled at any time. Starting this business has been a labor of love, inspired by the goal of bringing grandparents and grandkids closer, especially when distance separates them. However, WalliBox can be a delightful gift for any special child in your life!
