Sunday Progress Report: trenching out sewer lines 💩🚽 to upgrade to code and connect to city. I know…exciting stuff. As with all construction projects, this week came with its own set of surprises and hurdles but we seem to be on track for late fall opening.

This week’s question: “What’s an overused phrase in books that makes you roll your eyes?” Here’s mine: “a constellation of freckles” 🙄

📖 A new chapter is about to begin for Downtown Frisco. Later this fall, Frisco Booksellers will open its first permanent storefront on Main Street, becoming the city's own locally owned independent bookstore. The shop will feature new releases every Tuesday, literary fiction, mystery, thrillers, science fiction, classics, poetry, a large nonfiction selection, local interest books, coffee table books, and a thoughtfully curated children's section spanning everything from board books to young adult novels. Owner Jennifer Bischof has spent the past several years building the business through pop up events before finding a permanent home in the Rail District. The opening comes as Frisco's historic downtown continues its transformation into a more walkable destination, bringing another locally owned business to the heart of the city and adding a new gathering place for readers, families, and the community.
