A while back I saw a wood finishing video for a guitar and I've wanted to try it on an axe for a while... I finally got around to it as it matched the dark and silver of the head..

I need to clean up the stain on the head and laser etch things still but I really love how this came out so I had to post pics of it :)

so the shop got a small (HUGE) upgrade... did some profile and sharpening work tonight before heading to the 2022 WATL Southern Regional Tournament on a few axes and WOW this is so much nicer than my previous methods... but it sure does toss a lot more dust/metal shavings...

Stickers came in... :). We'll be at ANGRYWOOD 4 LOCO - ENTER THE BEAVER 2022 and have them in tow :) also future orders will include a few... cause everyone loves stickers :)

so my wife knew I wanted to get some stickers ready for the AngryWood tourney that is coming up... I was going to do something simple with my logo but she pulled out all the stops...

the Cilt (welsh so with a C and not a K) is my family tartan...

I can't wait to get these printed out :)

I had some exciting stuff come in the mail today...

a few axe heads including the highly anticipated Plumb national derived Plout heads from InfinityAxes

and also my challenger coins from InfinityAxes as well... I guess I need to read up on the challenger coin portion... I really love the annie oakley one and don't want it to go anywhere haha...

the last few weekends have been spent at tournaments... lots of fun but I'm glad to finally be able to get some rest and now get back into the shop and get some work done.

the first project is a beautiful axe I've been working on for a long time customer, we shaved off the WATL logo from a queen of hearts to drop the weight slightly and then hung it on a handle with a purple heart core (something he's had on every one of the axes I've built for him) and zebra wood scales... it still needs the edge dressed and some laser work but I love how it came out and it's new owner is excited as well :)

the green handle axe had a Sabiha Industry "Hammerhead" I picked up while at the WATL US Open... this one will be going up for sale soon.

and the final project I mostly finished up tonight is doing some weight loss on a jack of clubs head... it's something I've wanted to try out for a bit, I like the way the jack throws but wanted some weight loss... I'll likely trim it down a smidge more... debating on the handle still.

We've had a fun and busy last few weeks, the WATL US Open up in Minneapolis, and then this last weekend we had an awesome tournament up at Texas Axe Throwing. I had a ton fun, and was happy with my throwing at this last weekend's tourney considering it was my 4th tourney haha. I also got to meet so many awesome people.

Now we get to come back to our regularly scheduled program... We've got some fun builds coming up... to the customers waiting on them thank you for your patience, I"m excited to get these builds to you and ready to throw for next season :)
