Owner Paul is a graduate of United Bicycle Institute, and is experienced in nearly all aspects of bike repair/service. Island Bicycles specializes in high-quality repairs, by appointment only. We offer free pickup and delivery for most repairs on San Juan Island. We no longer rent bicycles.

Our Story

We’ve closed our downtown Friday Harbor retail store, and have opened Island Bicycles Precision Service and Repair, where we specialize in bicycle service and maintenance packages. We are no longer renting bicycles; there are several other businesses in Friday Harbor who have nice bikes to rent. We can service any type of bicycle, with only a few exceptions: I do not service E-bikes having electronics issues. Fixing tire/tube problems....no problem. 31 years of professional experience and an in-depth inventory of repair, replacement, and service parts allow us to do most any repair. As our shop is “out of the way,” we offer free pickup and delivery on most services.We can accept payment by credit card, Visa/MC as well as cash and local check. We can be reached by cell: 360-298-2472. During spring, summer, and fall we are open 9-5 Tues. Wed. Thurs.
