Yesterday was a busy sort of non work day. Started with a trip to Brunswick for blood work for annual physical. I went home for breakfast because it had been fasting blood work.

I then went to Norway to Handmade Maine to drop off some bowl holders, burp cloths and eye glass holders. I then went to West Paris to pick up some lobster fabric. When leaving there got a message so drove to Gray to pick up product from Grape Island Glass. Then I drove to Lisbon Falls and met up with Irene of Fields of Dreams Soaps to pick up some product. After that I stopped at Spring Day Creamery in Durham for a cuppa and to pick up some fabric a customer dropped off with Sarah at market last Saturday. Then I went home. I enjoyed my day out. I have been staying home a lot so I had a good day out. Lots of great views as I was driving around.

Back to lobster fabric. I will be making the usual potholders, bowl holders and I and going back to an old favorite doggie collar scarves. I will have both slot collar through scarves (original version) also will be adding over the head doggie collar scarves for doggies that wear a harness and no collar to slot through.

I am heading over to the barn to put ties on the quilt but can only work until 11 as it gets too hot. I will come back into the house and work on those other products. I have washed some fabric already.

Enjoy your day.

I have always felt if I have done my best every day that is a good day. I do not always get as much as I would like accomplished but if it was my best for that day all is good.

I had knitting with me and the sewing machine. I sew when the shop has no customers and knit when people are in the shop. From around 10.30 people were coming in and it was really just before 4.00 there was no one else in the shop. I used to FaceTime with my Dad at 4.00 and on my work days I would give him a little look around the shop so that part was sad.

I did get some knitting started. I have decided no more sewing machine just knitting with me. Too much to load and unload!

Enjoy your day. My sewing machine is set up and I am about to start the second side if a queen size quilt that is a special order wedding gift.

Hope you enjoy your day. I am taking some knitting and I will probably have the sewing machine as well. Making a queen size quilt order with squares both sides so I could join more squares.

Like so many other families we have been dealing with cancer. Firstly Bill with his stage 3 small cell lung cancer and all his treatments, surgery and radiation. While Bill is not clear he is not in remission. Last year my Dad was diagnosed with inoperable throat cancer with a six month expectancy. The reason for my multiple trips to Scotland last year and this. When my Dad made it to Christmas he would say he had surpassed his expiration date. That was bonus time for us. On 16th April my Dad passed in his sleep in the nursing home and I was in the room at the time. I got back yesterday from a trip I had booked before he passed. We managed to get the funeral in the time that I had booked for the trip.

Throughout the last three years it has been working on my crafts that have kept me going. That was my piece of normality. Sorry I was not as productive as I would normally have been but thankful for all the work. For that I thank you all and all the places I do business with.

Today being my first day back at work I am looking at what I would like on my to do list. These were some of the things I would talk to my Dad about in our daily calls. My Dad was my biggest supporter and always there with words of encouragement and good advice. I would show my Dad new fabrics and he would let me know what he thought of each. His favorite fleece was the one with the Cardinal on it and loved his hat I made for him. He called that one his piece de resistance of all the hats I made for him.

I do have some orders to work on and some items to stock for the shops who currently carry my items. While in the background I will be adding more things to the website. I have been too busy to deal with the website and used mostly for custom listing which I will continue to do. I will be posting more as I get some of these things accomplished.

THANK YOU ALL who have supported me with liking posts, commenting, purchasing, requesting special orders and supporting shops I supply. I appreciate the fact that I get to make things for others and I do enjoy that.

Hope you have a great day.
