It’s a bittersweet day in downtown Mount Vernon.

The truck is loaded, the old shop is nearly empty, and Knox Coin Exchange is officially beginning its next chapter in Fredericktown.

What started years ago in Mount Vernon is not ending — it’s simply moving down the road and starting fresh in a new community.

We’re grateful for every customer, conversation, handshake, and friendship that helped make this little shop what it became. Now it’s time to build something new. Bigger plans. Fresh energy. Same honest service. Same passion for coins, silver, gold, collectibles, and history.

Fredericktown… we’re on our way.

Knox Coin Exchange in Mount Vernon will be closed for a few weeks, while we move to the new store in Fredericktown.
We will have limited "appointment only" visits available in June to buy, sell, or appraise.
Target date for opening the new Fredericktown shop is early July, 2026.
