Summer so far.. outfits on repeat, beach roadtrips, pop up events at the shop with friends and seasonal cooking inspired by farmers market finds.

Come see us at the shop this weekend. We’re open Thursday through Sunday, and staying open late on Friday from 5 to 8 PM for as we host local artist and friend Janet Sullivan for an art show and sale. We’ll be serving light bites and cold bevvies and have a new vintage drop for our local friends.

Something to look forward to — this Saturday from 10 AM - 3 PM we will be joined by sweet friends and for a pop up at Phosphene. Expect a thoughtful assortment of Na Nin’s in house clothing and fragrance lines - all inspired by nostalgia - and Lasso La Lune’s handmade textiles, which feature handcraft techniques like crochet lace, embroidery and natural dyes, alongside Appalachia-inspired fine jewelry. Visit the Fredericksburg Farmer’s Market, then come see us around the corner ☀️

Ripple Eau de Parfum — a fresh scent with blended notes of sage, salt water, patchoulis and smoke. Inspired by a first time “I love you” on a trip to Nicaragua. Hand made in Richmond, Virginia - one hour south of our shop - by our friends at Na Nin, using essential oils, fragrance oils carried in perfumer’s alcohol and distilled water. Simple ingredients, always.

New at Phosphene: introducing St. Agni, an independent Australian design studio founded in Byron Bay.

The brand lives by the philosophy of ‘less is more’ - something you know we love here at Phosphene - keeping versatility and longevity at the forefront of decision making alongside transparency around supply chain and sustainability. Styles keep to a minimalist aesthetic and focus on precise tailoring and quality materials across wardrobing and leather goods.

Our selection from St. Agni’s Spring Summer 2026 collection includes elevated tees, crisp cotton sundresses for all occasions (from farmer’s market to wedding season - these styles can be dressed up / down to do it all) and leather accessories like handbags and footwear to complete the look.

Favorites from the first weekend of May — hosting Studio Pawlica for First Friday’s and taking the shop on the road for a pop up at Kaleidos’ 11th Anniversary market in Falls Church on Saturday. A busy one but full of celebration! We loved getting to see + meet + connect with so many new friends (slowly catching up on your DMs this week, we promise!) and feel so grateful for every single one of you 🤍

A look we love: the Fine Drawstring Relaxed Pants from St. Agni (crafted from an organic cotton and linen blend - perfect for warmer weather months) styled with a simple but interesting black top (we recommend the Bateau Sleeveless top from Kye Intimates — a high neck in the front and low scoop in the back). Behind the scenes as we prepare to welcome you back into the shop this Saturday. Painting, repainting, repairing, processing all of the new spring arrivals from your favorite independent designers (and some new ones we know you’re going to love 😉), getting back into creating for the sake of creating, appreciating the little things like fresh flowers in the house and on the trees outside and lots of much needed rest at home. 🌷

In celebration of Phosphene Studio’s spring collection release, we’ve partnered with FIELD — a contemporary floral artist based in Richmond, Virginia — to create a limited run of seasonal bouquets available by preorder.

Expect deep burgundies, textural florals, and fresh seasonal greenery, thoughtfully arranged with a modern, sculptural feel that reflects both FIELD’s contemporary style and Phosphene’s refined spring palette. Bouquets will reflect a similar color palette and feeling to the photo shown.

This collaboration brings together our shared appreciation for intentional design, natural form, and the beauty of small-batch work. Quantities are limited.

Florals will be available for pickup during our Spring Celebration event on Saturday, March 21 from 11AM–3PM, or during standard business hours on Sunday, March 22. Please select in-store pickup at checkout as your shipping method. We are unable to offer shipping or local delivery for these florals.
