My kids have seen more bullying this year than any child should, and instead of letting it bring them down, they want to bring more light into our small community.
So tomorrow — and next weekend — they’ll be outside our home with a little bake stand, spreading kindness one treat and bracelet at a time.
My 12‑year‑old especially has grown so much. She talks about her future with a maturity that surprises me every day. Six years until graduation may sound like a long time, but we all know it goes by in a blink.
This is her mission at 12 years old:
to spend the next six years building kindness, raising money for her future, and working toward her dream of becoming a counselor so she can help kids who struggle the way she’s seen others struggle.
