The Hot Cat 50 is the latest evolution of Bad Catâs now-legendary Hot Cat platform. For over 25 years, the Hot Cat has been Bad Catâs go-to high-gain amp for professional players. Simply put, the Hot Cat 50 is the most wide-ranging amp in the Bad Cat lineup. It comfortably covers everything from classic country and rock to high-gain metalâand it does it with jaw-dropping accuracy. Itâs also loaded with real-world features players actually need, including an effects loop, onboard reverb, a direct line-out, and a two-button footswitch. Designed to be the centerpiece of a serious rig, it takes pedals and rack effects with ease.
Plug a single-coil guitar into the clean channel in Lo mode and the amp delivers glassy, American-style cleans youâve heard on records for decades. Switch to Hi mode and a Telecaster pushes it into Paisley-style country lead tonesâbouncy, articulate, and full of bite.
