This is my next project. It's the largest setee I've ever tackled. It's taken me all day to get this far. Lots of repair work on the frame.The old burlap straps are what's holding it together until the JB Weld dries. Lots of clamping. JBWeld is a quick setting apoxy,I love it.

Vintage Treasures and More

White Chippy Cottage is named after a small cottage on our property. My husband’s Grandmothers home place was going to be demolished due to its condition. So we took it down board by board and rebuilt a much smaller version, all one room. We reused the doors windows, porch posts and hardwood floors. The front porch of the cottage is used in my logo. It is filled with my collection of vintage furniture waiting for a makeover.

I love anything French country, shabby and chippy. One of my favorite things is vintage chairs. Refurbishing them with new upholstery, paint or just reconditioning the wood. A chair has to speak to me, so I am always on the hunt at estate sales and auctions. White Chippy Cottage is located inside Nestfeathers Antiques, Franklin NC,a large three story antique store filled with vintage treasures.
