So it took me a full year in my new house to get my shop set up. I finally did, and I ran a test run in my kiln last night. Mixed results.... one totally cracked and refused to leave the mold (not shown). One cracked when it tried to take it out of the mold. One came out whole, but with plaster stuck to the glass. None had straight edges. *Sigh*. Not a complete failure, but still more experimentation is needed. I've not had stellar results with molds in the past, and I tried a new mold release, so I'm not totally ticked off, but I am a little disappointed. 😕

I can't believe it's been over a year since I posted!! Life has been crazy busy. I bought a house in Nashville that I LOVE. My shop is all set up in the garage, but now just need to find some time to get out there and get back to it! The very best thing that happened in 2016 (aside from my new home), is that Spectrum Glass sold their recipes to Oceanside Glasstile. This means that (fingers crossed) I will still be able to get ALL my favorite glass colors and textures. I am still selling my work at Moose Apple Christmas Tree Farm in Berryville, Virginia, and of course, directly through FB. Message me any time. Thank you everyone for the "likes" and the support!

This is HORRIBLE news!!! Spectrum glass is my very favorite. I'm going to miss my go to colors and textures!! I'm heartbroken. I have more glass than any one person should, but I guess it's time to start hoarding... :/
