I laid my Daddy to rest on Tuesday. It’s been an almost impossible 2 1/2 months for me. I’ll be honest, at times I am barely hanging on. But to know my sweet son is with my Mama & now my Daddy has brought some peace. It will take me a minute to get back to work and in the swing of things.

We have a secret we’ve been waiting to tell you about! I had been working on this for a few months and it was supposed to launch the week T passed so of course it was shoved to the very back corner of the closet. As I have slowly returned to work, I knew getting back to work on this would smooth my creative heart a little. So let me introduce you to Patch That Hat, a Trucker Hat bar. We will have a fun launch party soon. It will be a Pop Up shop and we will add private parties and design days once we get all the details figured out.

It’s been a week since Tanner passed. A strange new existence that I’m not sure I can navigate yet. He is such a big part of work with Corey in the office and is (I can’t quite bring myself to use past tense with him) my main back up employee at the shop. I haven’t been able to go to the shop yet and it has taken everything Corey has to go into work. Shelley has been on spring break with her son so things will return to as normal as possible next week. Thank you all so much for showing all the love and support and voting for us. The DFA awards were the night of T’s Celebration of Life. One of his teammates asked if I won the award and I didn’t know what he was talking about then I realized it was the DFA one. I told him I didn’t know the event was that night. The announcement was made and I learned about it at our gathering following the service. T had made sure all his friends voted for me and when I found out I yelled “we won!!” And the tables filled with his friends all cheered. It was a big for sure. I’m hanging on and things come in waves but I know a time will

When I opened the shop (almost 12 years ago) I promised my family I that our holiday traditions would not change. So we are closed this weekend so we can all enjoy the holiday weekend. We will see you Tuesday with new merchandise for you.

It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas! We have some beautiful ribbon combinations for you mailbox, tree or garland! Your don’t have to completely change your tree decor to freshen things up. You can add ornaments that compliment what you already have to update and new color of ribbon can completely change the look of your tree. Ornaments aren’t just for trees! Add them to a bowl or basket on your entry table, coffee table or kitchen island

This year so many in our area have food insecurity and need help during the holidays. KSD is going to help by being a drop off for food donations for Thanksgiving baskets to be distributed at the Martha O’Brian Center

This week we are accepting donations Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

KSD will donate the Turkey for every basket donated. You just need to purchase the following and drop it off at the shop.

Disposable pan to cook turkey
Potatoes - (instant box is okay too) or
Sweet potatoes with bag of marshmallows
Bag of apples
2 cans green beans
2 cans Beans (Pinto or white)
2 boxes of mac&cheese
Bag of rolls
Brownie mix box
Snacks for kids (crackers, fruit snacks etc)
Juice boxes for kids
Apple or Grape juice (in large bottle)

You can do this as a family, a business, a group of friends, child’s sport team or club!

We’ve been unpacking boxes all week! We will be open Tuesday, then closed until we open the doors for the party on Thursday. The elves will be hard at work decorating the shop for the party and we can’t wait for y’all to see this years collection.
