📚☀️🤖 What a perfect Franklin day!

We began the morning with readgrowfly gifting everyone in attendance at the Artcraft showing of The Wild Robot movie a brand new copy of the book The Wild Robot by Peter Brown to take home and read with their grown ups!

We were delighted to receive the JCREMC Round Up grant for our Read Grow Fly Porch Storytime series! We heard a great story with Ms. Grace, enjoyed snacks and each family got to take the book home for free.

Join us again next Tuesday at noon after the Summer Series The Historic Artcraft Theatre movie for another storytime!

If you would like to support initiatives like this, consider making a tax deductible donation to readgrowfly with the Johnson County Community Foundation!

Hey friends! The Historic Artcraft Theatre Summer Break Series means there’s a $6 children’s movie at the theater every Tuesday in June and July. Doors open at 9:00.

Thanks to a very special grant from JCREMC Operation Round-up, our non-profit fund readgrowfly, will be gifting books to young readers who join us for Ms. Grace’s porch storytime following the movie! 🤖🪿

Each Tuesday, her story time matches the theme of the movie and we will have copies of THE THREE LITTLE ALIENS AND THE BIG BAD ROBOT to give to storytime families while supplies last! *One book per household.

🤖📖The readgrowfly fund is also gifting a free copy of THE WILD ROBOT by Peter Brown to children attending the movie! The film is based on a beloved novel and it’s such a great series! There’s even a goose!

Most of the chapters are only 1-2 pages so it’s the perfect family read aloud.

Reading together at night or on a road trip makes a huge, positive difference and is a great way to prevent the summer slide in reading skills. It’s also so great for emotional development.

⭐️Tip from our reading coach: It’s ok if young readers get the wiggles when reading to them. They can color or dance or unwind with a book at the end of a day. They are still listening and it’s great to start the habit.✨

Grab your ticket to the Tuesday movie and read with us this summer!
