Another FCC book fair complete!

Again, I am so thankful for my repeat & NEW customers! It makes a book lady’s heart happy to know that these kids and parents love these books as much as I do.

And FCC hit a new milestone!! 🤩🤩 They have officially earned over $1,000 in FREE books !!

This book fair, FCC earned $260 in free books, for a total lifetime of $1,183 of free books in less than 2 years!

This fair was also a lot of fun in that each time, a variety of books, puzzles, games, plushies and more are displayed for sale. It’s amazing to be able to offer a variety of items EACH time! New titles that haven’t been included in the sale before and the shoppers notice! PaperPie has so much to offer and with new releases often, is a good feeling to be able to offer fresh titles that a variety each time.

Such an inspiration with his generosity and love for children’s publication! 😢

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our beloved founder and chairman Peter Usborne CBE. Peter passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by his family.

Peter was an exceptional publisher, an inspirational leader and a lovely man. He will be incredibly missed by his family and everyone here at Usborne.

Nicola Usborne, Peter’s daughter and Usborne’s managing director said “My dad always felt that he’d had the absolute best life, and that publishing for children for 50 years was the greatest privilege he could imagine.”

Another book fair is in the books! ... pun intended.
This one completely knocked me off my feet. My personal week has been crazy busy but I was able to pull this off. And as always, I absolutely love what I do! And I love these books! And I am so excited to share these books with others.

Total sales were roughly $830 before taxes and fees. ANDDDD I received the biggest single order I’ve ever gotten!! Almost $570‼️‼️ Thats right, a single 1 person order.

I was absolutely floored and my heart is so full that the kids, parents and staff love and support theses books! 📚
As I’ve said before, I don’t make a lot of commission on books fairs. But I do make a little. However, I say that to say, it’s not about the commission for me. I am truly so excited and happy to share these books and get the love and responses I do.
I love sharing this brand and literature with everyone. And I am so excited for our daycare to EARN FREE BOOKS!!! 📚📚📚 They earned $414 in FREE books!!

This is such a great time to stock up for Easter 🐣 🐇 bunny baskets, spring birthdays and boredom busters on vacations that are around the corner.

Last year Jackson’s Easter basket included baby animals & outdoor themes. This year’s Easter “basket” is actually an little wheelbarrow and it will include little gardening tools along with a beach pail and other trinkets. His books will be about bugs! I’m so excited and can’t wait to share with him more books about one of my favorite activities - being outside! ❣️

Spring is right around the corner!
Although it may not feel like it in most regions, I am giddy and looking forward to warmer weather and activities outside. 🌞🌱

Some of my favorite books I’ve gotten for Jackson are our garden, outdoor and nature books! I love all things outdoors and I hope he grows up to appreciate it as well.
I especially love our books about bugs! 🐜🐞🦗🐝

The boy loves his books!
Although these are not Paper Pie books, we still love them.

I was asked the other day by a fellow book lady, how many rooms we have books in, even for display. My answer was 6, if you don’t count the car.

I honestly didn’t realize we had books in so many rooms. And this did include cookbooks in the kitchen.

But we have books for Jackson in almost every bed room, his play area and sometimes in the kitchen.

I love that he is getting excited beyond manipulating and turning pages. But excited to see things he recognizes; cats, dogs and other animals.
Also, his sound books he is learning to play to himself.

So how many rooms do you have books in? And where do you or your little one read most?

New things ahead with the new rebrand.

I’ve attached a link to the current mini spring catalog. I’m obsessing over the new little round books on page 22. Jackson would have a fit over them! Frog and Friends ❣️ He loves his books and this is the perfect size for on-the-go. He loves to just flip back and forth between the pages. This is optimal for his busy hands and the size is perfect for in the car or while we are out and about.

This year I plan to focus more on showcasing specific books and other items, between all the brands, that are offered under the Paper Pie umbrella. As well as fun interactions along with them.
