🚧 Major traffic updates coming soon! This is the first weekend closure of many!🚧

The Capital Ave Bridge will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians during select weekends. The first closure is scheduled from 7 p.m. Friday, June 19, through 6 a.m. Monday, June 22.

During the closure, motorists should follow the signed detour route via KY 420 (Old Lawrenceburg Road, KY 676 (East-West Connector), KY 1659 (Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), and U.S. 60 (East Main Street) before reconnecting with U.S. 60 (Capital Avenue).

“Mrs. Booe had applied at a local bank for a loan to restart her business. She was turned down. You can’t possibly be surprised, women were then not seen as capable of running a business. Yet, Rebecca Ruth Candies continues to this day and Fannie Rump soon saw the return of her $50 investment.”
