The behind the scenes of running a small business are costly + take a lot of time to maintain, especially with the ever-changing demands of social media advertising.

With the slow growth of Compassion Packed, we have been pocketing many of these costs which then affects our ability to bring in new items and inventory. And while this is completely expected with the start up of a new business, the demands of our family are also pulling us from giving our full effort in advertising and marketing in the way we need to continue growth.

We are recognizing that this is not the season to continue to push growth in our business as our most important job of Motherhood calls…

What does that mean for Compassion Packed?

Well, first off, we are not ready to give up on this dream. The mission and vision of Compassion Packed is so much bigger than a ‘shop’ for us and we believe wholeheartedly that this was placed on our hearts for a reason— in the right time, it will get to where we dream.

But we are needing to cut pack on behind the scenes costs in this slow season. And while we absolutely LOVE our website— which we spent so much time designing and pouring our hearts into— we are going to close it temporarily. The closure will occur on 4/12 and in the meantime everything is 40% off. Please take advantage of these sales… stock up for Mother’s Day, Showers, Birthdays. No gift box necessary, feel free to purchase individual items you’ve had your eyes on.

We will keep Compassion Packed up and running after the website is down but all orders will need to come through us directly via email or social media. Which we love connecting with our customers anyways. We are so honored to put together custom gift boxes for your loved ones unique circumstances and occasions. And you can still expect to hear from us for giveaways + holidays, as we can.

Did you know the parents & families of the Down Syndrome community refer to themselves as ‘The Lucky Few?’ This is because we consider ourselves lucky that our lives are enhanced by knowing + loving someone with Down Syndrome.💛💙

2025, the birth of Compassion Packed + more✨

It’s easy to get caught up in the sales, the comparison, the slow growth, the low followers and all the ways the world seems to be working against small businesses these days.

But, reflecting on all we accomplished month to month, is such a beautiful reminder of how we continued to show up and pour into this little business. We truly believe in the goodness we have to offer our community + ending the year delivering so many gifts to the children’s hospital refueled that belief in our hearts going into 2026.

Yes, things may be slower than we’d like a year into this mission. But Kate + I aren’t great sales ladies… (kind of important in a biz, we know) we’re givers. It’s hard for us to ask for sales, so instead, we ask you to believe in our mission and all we can offer to help support others if things can continue to grow.

We may be mamas to young, growing families first but we are not giving up on our passion to serve you, the ones you love + our disability community.

So stick with us… engage, share, shop + let’s make 2026 an even bigger year for COMPASSION PACKED🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽

Consider these tips to host a holiday event that will make everyone feel seen + included.✨

And remember if a family has to decline your invitation, leave early, back out last minute or only send part of their family to your event—please show them empathy & grace. It’s not always an easy decision to miss out or feel like they are letting others down but they need to prioritize their child(ren). Routines are already greatly disrupted over the holidays and it’s challenging to add in all the events and see all the people.

Offering a ‘no pressure’ invitation or the option to get together at another time that is less overwhelming is so appreciated. 🤍✨🎄

When we started Compassion Packed, we wanted to use our grief for good. But we knew our stories + experiences with grief were just that— ours. And to show up and do good for others, we would need to sit with them and listen to their stories, hear their perspectives, and understand how we could support them.

Our Pediatric Cancer Campaign was Compassion Packed’s first effort at making impactful change on a larger scale. Still being a very small business, we were not sure how much of an impact we would be able to make but we gave it our all knowing it would be worth it even if we only reached one child. And in return this community showed up for us and these children in a big way. 🎗️

Yesterday we were able to deliver 60 gift boxes to the Keyser Family Pediatric Cancer Clinic— enough for all of their current oncology patients. Boxes and bags of brand new toys, crafts, and support items for their Child Life team. Hundreds and hundreds of hand drawn pictures + cards.

Soon each of these gifts and items will make their way into the hands of patients and their families. Offering a loving reminder, that while so many are consumed with holiday activities and shopping and gatherings— they are not forgotten. We hope they will feel held and lifted as they navigate the unthinkable this season.

We want to thank The Perry Family for sharing their and Faith’s story, allowing us to better support the children and families that navigate childhood cancer. It was our absolute honor to do this campaign in her memory and share her life’s lasting impact.

We want to thank YOU for all of your support. Whether you took the time to share our campaign, sponsor a box, write a card, come to our event— however you showed up, thank you for bringing light to others this season.

We hope that this is only the first of many successful campaigns for us and we welcome you to keep coming along with us to do good.🤟🏽

And please join us in sending Faith Perry a Happy Heavenly Birthday. Faith was a bright light to everyone who knew and loved her and her spirit continues to shine over us all. ✨💛
