Let’s talk candidly about this summer as a small candle business. 💬 🗣️

This was my first summer doing events. I’ve avoided them in the past because I was convinced sales would suck & I would be miserable cause I hate the heat. I was correct on both counts. 🥵📉

People don’t want candles in the summer & I totally get it. I panic signed up for a ton of events when I lost my full time job. Next summer I will probably do 1-2 a month max. 🚐🛍️

Do I regret it? Nope! Now I know. I also have met the most amazing people this summer. Slower sales were a blessing because I was able to mingle and chat with other vendors, event coordinators, volunteers, etc. 👯‍♀️

I’ve learned SO much. Not only about markets but running a business. More importantly, I made new friends & got to see grown ups in real life. Which is hard when you’re a SAHM. It makes markets 1000 times more fun. 🥸🤝

Here’s to closing out the summer strong and rolling into an even busier fall. 🍁🎃

New price update. I have never been this anxious to share a post. There’s no way around it. Everything is so expensive. I waited as long as I could to not pass the burden on to you guys. 😔

Using clean ingredients that don’t give you headaches, make your dog sick, put soot in your walls, etc. comes at a price. Big box stores can charge minimally because they are mass producing toxins that you literally light on fire in your spaces. Could I do the same to make more money? Sure. Am I going to? No. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Effective 8/15/26: 11 & 12oz candles will be $30, 8oz candles will be $20. 💛

Stock up on old pricing by Friday, 8/14/26. I also reduced shipping to $5 for orders during this timeframe (don’t even get me started on the price of shipping). 📦

We were so happy to introduce Waxidents to a White Pine Market and her candles were an absolute hit!! They
offer, toxin free home fragrances, soy candles, room sprays, reed diffusers, wax melts, & car fresheners and will be back next Sunday at the Summer Market at Cape Cod Beer!!

Running a small business from home with 4 kids under 6 is chaotic and stressful and honestly SO FUN. No day looks the same. There is no routine or schedule. 📆 ⏰
