Sound Ideas Home Theater Design started in 1972 when Tom Bonjour a TCU student and Jay Hornsby a UTA student, opened Sound Idea near the UTA campus in Arlington, Texas. In 1974, the company opened a second store in Fort Worth on Camp Bowie Blvd. In 1976 a new store was built on Pioneer Parkway in Arlington that became the new company headquarters, and in 1984 we built another store in Fort Worth o

On January 1, 2006 Sound Ideas closed its retail locations and relocated to our current headquarters on I-20 and Campus Drive in Fort Worth. We are now the oldest electronics integration contractor in Fort Worth, working with the areas top builders, architects, and designers. Sound Ideas is family owned and operated by Jay Hornsby and Chris Hornsby. Our mission is to provide you with a custom designed electronics system that exceeds your expectations, and makes your life easier.

Proud of our team for showing up and supporting such a meaningful cause at the charity golf tournament. It’s especially close to our hearts knowing our grandson attends this wonderful school. Lighthouse School of Fort Worth
