After a rather long hiatus, I am doing another trunk show onboard a beautiful cruise ship. This week I am the featured artist on the Regent Mariner, as we sail to Mexico, Belize and Honduras. We started off well yesterday during our first sea day and I'm hoping sales will continue to be strong for the remainder of the cruise!

Calmer seas today as we sailed around Elephant Island. We saw beautiful glaciers, as well as penguins frolicking in the water alongside the ship. We also had occasional whale sightings and lot of birds flying with us. Tomorrow we’ll be iceberg hunting as we sail along the Antarctic Peninsula. More photos to follow!

We’re definitely rocking and rolling as we navigate through the windy Drake’s Passage on our way to Antarctica. We had to defer our call in the Falkland Islands because of bad weather but will stop there on our way back to BA. But our modified itinerary will give us a third day cruising around the Antarctica peninsula and more time to see ice flows and penguins! In the meantime, my trunk show is off to a great start with several of my pieces already finding new homes with ladies on the ship who appreciate my designs and the stories behind them!

I'm heading to Buenos Aires this week to board the Azamara Journey as the featured trunk show artist on her 17-night cruise to Antarctica! I've created several new pieces that I will debut on the ship and I'm looking forward to my first fashion show at sea showcasing my designs on the 20th. I'll post photos here throughout our exciting journey!

I was happy to create this very special bracelet for very special clients, who requested it to complete the necklace and earrings ensemble they purchased during my trunk show on the Oceania Insignia. The bracelet incorporates sterling Konavoske Puce beads from Dubrovnik and hand wrapped Khmer Silk beads that were made in Cambodia by disabled victims of land mines. It's very gratifying to have clients who really appreciate the uniqueness of my creations and the stories behind them!

I am thrilled to have been selected as the featured trunk show artist on a cruise to the end of the world! In January, I will be showcasing Mary McKee Handcrafted Designs on the Azamara Journey for 17 days, sailing from Buenos Aires to Antarctica and back. I'm very excited to be seeing Antarctica again - it is such a spectacular place!

Tomorrow is Small Business Saturday! Mary McKee Handcrafted Designs will be at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center with other local artists for their Shop Small Saturday event from 10 to 4. You'll find one-of-a-kind gifts and treasures for yourself and you'll be supporting small businesses. Hope you'll stop by the Arts Center at 1300 Gendy in the Fort Worth Museum District - it will be much more fun and much less stressful than Black Friday!

Small Business Saturday will take place nationwide this year on November 29. Since its launch in 2010, it has helped change the landscape of neighborhoods big and small.

Just completed a very successful trunk show onboard the beautiful Oceania Insignia! I met some wonderful guests and new clients who will now be wearing my designs around the world. Thanks to the Insignia Boutiques Team - Sarah, Matthew, Nelesh, Melissa and Nelli - who helped make the show a great success!
