🔥🔥🔥 Last night’s event with Isaac Keys was everything!

Thank you, Isaac, for stopping by The Dock Bookshop to discuss your new release, The Grind Don't Stop. Lady J was an incredible conversationalist, and the entire evening was a vibe from start to finish.

The crowd was beautiful, the conversation was engaging, and the energy in the room was lit. To make the night even more special, we were honored to have Jasmine Crockett and Deborah Peoples stop by to show their support!

⚽️✊🏾 Happy Juneteenth!

On June 19, 2026, at 7:30 PM, Brazil vs. Haiti takes the pitch in a historic FIFA World Cup 2026™ matchup—on Juneteenth.

As the world gathers for The Beautiful Game, we pause to remember that long before the roar of stadiums and the celebration of nations, there were people who fought for the right to be free.

From Haiti’s Revolution in 1804—the first successful slave revolt to establish an independent Black republic—to Brazil’s abolition of slavery in 1888, and Juneteenth’s celebration of freedom since 1865, these milestones remind us that freedom is never simply given—it is demanded, defended, and remembered. It is a rare moment where sport, history, culture, and memory intersect on the world’s biggest stage.

As we cheer for goals, flags, and national pride, we also honor those whose courage made freedom possible. The journey from Toussaint Louverture to Zumbi dos Palmares to Denmark Vesey is part of a global story that still shapes our world today.
