Today’s project was moving all the vintage lunchboxes and thermoses into one of the showcases at the front of Benbrook Antique Mall and honestly… seeing them all together like this is so much fun. 😂
There’s vintage lunchboxes, thermoses, matching sets, cartoon chaos, and at least 3 things in there that instantly unlocked elementary school memories for me.
The Kool-Aid one is cracking me up. There’s Barbie, Tiny Toons, Sesame Street, Snow White, Power Rangers, Happy Days… the whole showcase feels like a Saturday morning cartoon lineup from back in the day. A few of them still have their matching thermos too.
Some are super clean. Some are perfectly loved. Prices vary depending on condition, rarity, and whether the thermos is included.

Calling on my crafty friends! ✂️ I recently purchased the Tim Holtz maxi paper guillotine through Amazon and I wanted to share my experience with you all and get your feedback. I was drawn to this paper cutter because of its compact size and ability to cut 12 x 12 sheets of paper. However, when I tried to use it, I found that it consistently cut the paper crooked due to the paper being pushed up and away when I pushed down the lever. 😶
To make matters worse, the product I received was clearly used, with fingerprints all over it, residue on the blade, and a torn box. 🤨 I was disappointed with the condition of the product, especially since it was supposed to be brand new. Due to the condition it came in, which was very clearly used (see photos), and the fact that it did not cut well at all, I immediately returned it. But I have seen great reviews on the product online. 🤔 So I’m wondering if I just got a dud…?
Have any of you had similar experiences with this paper cutter? Do you think it’s worth buying another? If not, I would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations for a guillotine style paper cutter that cuts 12 x 12 sized paper, but is still compact compared to the dinosaur 🦕 metal ones of our elementary school days.

👍Pros: Shipped fast, takes up less room, had great reviews online, had an expandable ruler, push lever action should make it easier to cut paper, supposedly has a self sharpening blade for life
🤔Cons: Did not cut straight, and the product that I received was clearly used, but I’m not taking that into consideration of my rating.
⭐️Overall rating: 1/10: even though this product has a smaller footprint than other products that do the same thing, if it doesn’t cut paper, I can’t give it any kind of a good rating since that is it’s only function.
