Next week is the last week to shop Commonplace Books Fort Worth before we wrap up our time here on Friday, May 22nd. Friends, Neighbors, Patrons:
First, we’d like to say a great big THANK YOU for your support, your graciousness, and your presence in and towards Commonplace Books Fort Worth. It has been our privilege and joy to walk through the last year with you celebrating birthdays, marriages, and moves; and sitting with you in moments of hardship, grief, and growing pains. From having your littles at our Saturday morning story times to sharing a quiet glass of wine with you on winter evenings, this shop has been everything we’ve hoped for & more. We’ve always said this is your bookstore & that is evident by the culture you’ve created in our four little walls & beyond in the Fort Worth community. Thank you.
When we opened this store in June 2019, we did so with the understanding that this shop was a one-year pop up experiment. With our parent shop being in Oklahoma City, we wanted to test the waters in a new state, in a new city, with a new family; and its been truly so wonderful. Yet in light of the recent crisis of the world & the instability of small businesses and retail like ours, we feel it best to close our Fort Worth outpost & continue our efforts in Oklahoma City.
To that end, the Fort Worth shop will remain open online for shipping and contactless pickup through May 22nd. We would love to fill your orders until then & would be honored to see you safely at the door of the shop during these next two weeks. Please feel free to email, message, or carrier pigeon us with any questions, concerns, or kind words. We’d be happy to chat with you & thank you again for your continued support.
Now for a bit of logistics: we ask that if you have any gift cards for the Fort Worth shop or rewards through your loyalty membership, please be sure to use these by May 22nd. If you have questions about your gift card balance or any other gift card questions, please email us at [email protected]. We’ll be running limited pick up hours throughout the next two weeks (the rest of this weeks pickup hours are Wednesday & Thursday from 11-2), feel free to ring the shop during these hours at well to speak with us directly (817-229-5773).

For the mamas amongst us, however you define the word; this is a week for celebrating you. This season of life has been stretching for all of us; but particularly for parents of littles, quarantine has been a rollercoaster of feelings.
