šŸ€ā›¹ļøā€ā™€ļø March Madness season is almost her. Selection Sunday is March 15 - just a month away.

According to an April 2022 article in The Collegian (the second picture is of Jared Banks, author of the article), one of the ā€œbest ways to choose March Madness teamsā€ is to let your dog make the call ā€œ - because pups have great instincts! (Yep, really. Treats on either side = your bracket picks šŸ˜‰) ļæ¼

Whether you’re a Bracketologist or just here for the upsets and buzzer-beaters, why not get your pup in on the fun too?

Head over to pupsunitingpeople.com to see our college-themed dog bandanas (some of the bandanas are shown in the first picture). The bandanas are perfect for cheering on your team in style this March - or for your dog to show their pride in your school, your kid’s school, etc any time!

Sometimes love comes with four paws and a wagging tail! In a heart-warming story originally shared on HuffPost, a blind couple, Claire Johnson and Mark Gaffey, met while attending a guide-dog training course, where their guide dogs instantly hit it off. Their shared experience caring for and training their dogs led to friendship, deeper connection, and ultimately marriage — with their guide dogs playing meaningful roles in the wedding ceremony itself (HuffPost via multiple reposts). ļæ¼

Their story is a beautiful reminder that dogs don’t just help us navigate the world - they help us connect with others. From creating shared experiences and common ground to being part of life’s biggest moments, pups truly have a way of bringing people together - in friendship, support, and even love. šŸ¶ā¤ļø

I’m so excited to share Pups Uniting People’s first big bandana collection. If you and your dogs are fans of Ohio State, Penn State (in which case we have two options), Syracuse, Michigan, UNC, Pitt, or Villanova then we’ve got a bandana for you.

The bandanas are all handmade from cotton fabric and have elastic collars, so they’re easy to get on and off your pup (even if your pup won’t sit still).

Bandanas can be purchased at pupsunitingpeople.com.

Dogs aren’t just our loyal companions - they’re incredible matchmakers too! As highlighted in Kinship’s article ā€œHow Your Dog Can Help You Meet New People - and Maybe Even Find Love,ā€ pups naturally break the ice and create opportunities to connect with others simply by being themselves. Whether it’s striking up a conversation at the park or bonding over shared breed quirks, many dog parents report meeting lifelong friends - and even romantic partners - through their dogs’ social magnetism.

From casual chats during walks to relationships that grow into something deeper once two pups hit it off, our four-legged friends help us expand our social worlds in meaningful ways. They make us more approachable, spark connections with like-minded humans, and remind us that love - platonic or romantic - can begin with a wagging tail. šŸ•ā¤ļø

Here’s to pups uniting people in friendship and love - one walk at a time!

Did you know your pup can be your best wing-dog? According to the People article ā€œHaving a Dog in Your Dating Profile Photos Increases Your Chances of Matching, Survey Shows,ā€ singles who include photos of their dogs on dating apps are more likely to get matches and spark conversations than those who don’t. In a survey of dating-app users, about 70 % said that having a dog in their profile helps attract more matches, and 60 % are more tempted to swipe right on someone with a dog pic - proving that our furry friends make great social connectors both online and in real life (People, March 9, 2021) ļæ¼.

Whether it’s signaling kindness and responsibility or simply sparking a shared laugh, dogs help open doors to meeting new people - from friendships to possible romantic relationships. Many singles even use their pups as ice breakers to start conversations in person, reinforcing that dogs aren’t just companions… they’re matchmakers too! šŸ¶ā¤ļø

Love finds a way - sometimes with a wagging tail. In a recent New York Post article, ā€œPuppy Love: Couple with same dog breed met on apps and fell in love — and so did their pets,ā€ journalist Angela Barbuti shares the story of a couple who matched online, quickly realized they shared the same dog breed, and discovered that their dogs’ instant bond helped spark something deeper between them (New York Post, Jan. 17, 2026).

Their story is a sweet reminder that dogs don’t just enrich our lives - sometimes they connect them. From breaking the ice on dating apps to turning a first meeting into a shared walk, our pets often help us lower our guards, show up more authentically, and open our hearts in ways we might not expect.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, we’re celebrating all the ways dogs bring people together (we are, after all, Pups Uniting People) - romantically, socially, and emotionally. Sometimes puppy love helps lead to human romantic love. Truly a win-win in every way! šŸ¶ā¤ļø
