On National Start Over Day, we remember that reinvention isn’t a modern idea — sometimes it was survival, hope, and a second chance.

🌻 A Day in the Garden

In collaboration with the Arkansas River Valley Master Gardeners and Fort Smith Museum of History, join us for a day in the garden! The program will start at the Museum of History for story time, then transition to Fort Smith Historic Site for garden talks
and planting stations. Finish back at the Museum of History for snacks!

Saturday June 6
10:00 am - 11:30 am
Join Ranger Cody as he discusses the Civil War at Fort Smith and the BIG guns they fired! Try on the equipment, bark the orders, and learn how to fire a real cannon! Finish the program with park volunteers firing the cannon on your order!

🌳 Nature of the Fort with Ranger Ava

Join Ranger Ava for a bird walk around the grounds to see what critters you can spot! After, enjoy crafts and activities in our classroom.

📗 Junior Ranger Day

10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Explore the exhibits and fill out the Junior Ranger activity booklet to earn a badge! Junior Ranger crafts, activities, and collectibles will be available in our classroom from 10 am - 1 pm or while supplies last. This is a come and go as you please program.

Any aviation fanatics out there? Amelia Earhart wasn't just an award-winning pilot, she was also a designer, who designed her own line of luggage! She was also a fashion designer, activist, and professor. Come see a suitcase designed by this inspirational lady on display at Miss Laura's!
