Iβve been M.I.A. the last couple of weeks for a very good reason. I went on a bucket list trip with my parents, sister and nephew to Ireland and Scotland. We flew over and rented a car with my sis driving to the various sites and destinations. It definitely took her some getting used to driving on the left side of the road, lol. It was a whirlwind tour of castles (13 total), churches and cathedrals. Besides castles and cathedrals, we also did the Guiness Storehouse tour, Gap of Dunloe and Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. In Scotland we checked out the Fairy Pools and Fairy Glen on Isle of Sky (and Highland coos!) and drove through Glencoe. We fell in love with the countrysides of both countries and the sheep and their babies dotting the landscape. I feel we only scratched the surface of what Ireland and Scotland has to offer and I canβt wait to visit again someday.
As a crafty person, I loved visiting the yarn and fabric shops! I picked up some Harris Tweed fabric in both Inverness and Edinburgh and canβt wait to create bags and accessories with it. On our last day in Edinburgh, my mother, sister and I participated in a bag workshop at The Islander. The pieces and parts of the bag are already sewn and you put them together with Chicago screws. It was so much fun picking out the different colors and pieces to create a unique bag. It was such a fun experience!
