Join the Town of Fort Mill as we celebrate our Nation’s 248th birthday with food, fireworks and fun at our Independence Day Celebration on Wednesday, July 3, 2024!
This free event will be held from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Fort Mill Amphitheater and Walter Elisha Park, 345 N. White St. The celebration will feature music, food trucks, vendors, roving entertainment and children’s activities. Piedmont Medical Center-Fort Mill is hosting kid's crafts.
The evening kicks off with our Most Patriotic Contest. Meet us at the Amphitheater Stage dressed to impress with your red, white & blue! Winners will receive prizes. Our South Carolina Strawberry Festival Queens and festival mascot, Berry B. Good, will be our judges.
Following at 6:30PM, Rivermist, a Classic Rock, R & B and Variety Band, takes the stage. Town of Fort Mill will celebrate our Nation’s 248th Birthday with a Special Ceremony at 7:30PM with guests including Town Council, local dignitaries, queens, music and more. Capt. Jim Slade of WSOC Country 103.7FM will emcee our ceremony. Next up, Blackwater Band will entertain us with Top 40, Blues, Funk and Country Music from 8PM-9:15PM.
Enjoy music and bubbles from Stateline Productions located in the Food Court among our 27 delicious food, beverage and snack options. You can also visit and shop 30 vendors sharing their many fun items, games and information.
We’ll end the evening with our spectacular Fireworks Show at 9:15PM.
Then, join us on Thursday, July 4 @ 10AM at the Bandstand on Main Street for the 52nd Annual Firing of the Cannons. The Town hosts this historical event with a special ceremony featuring Town Council, Strawberry Queens, our festival mascot, Berry B. Good and music. The History of the Cannons will be shared by local historian, David Ward. The Firing of the Cannons is led by The Short Family. This will be their 51st year as Cannoneers.
