Did you know, the St. Michael prayer was originally created by Pope Leo XIII in 1886? May we seek St. Michael's intercession from all spiritual and physical dangers throughout our day.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. First up is Martha’s Hearth (created by Mara Hibner) which is inspired by St. Martha and her desire to serve Jesus through her home.

When Mark and I had our first baby, I could not find a burp cloth I loved, so my mom graciously helped me make some.

They quickly became my mom and I’s favorite gift to give to family and friends. I love picking out fabrics and spending time cutting them, while she does all the sewing.

As we continued to make them, we both loved the idea of giving moms a little touch of our rich Catholic faith. The Saints were the perfect inspiration. They inspire us in so many different ways!

Having a Saint-inspired theme is a beautiful way for my mom and I to pray for new and expecting moms, asking for specific Saint intercession.

And a great reminder to those using them. When sitting with your newborn baby, feeding, burping or rocking them to sleep, offer up a quick prayer to the Saints, or Mother Mary.

It’s so easy to pick up a phone and start scrolling, but a much better use of our time to offer those precious moments in prayer.

I also believe it is important when we have items of Catholic beauty and function in our home. It calls our minds to the things higher than this Earth. It reorients our mind to the sacred and what our precious vocation of raising tiny humans is… to make them Saints!
