The Overton County, TN disappearance of Kaitlyn Abree Ledbetter.

Kaitlyn moved from Indiana to Hilham, TN, where she lived in a home on Turkey Town Road with her father, Scott Ledbetter, and his girlfriend, Crystal Tyson.

It is alleged that on May 2nd, 2021, at around 5:30 in the morning, Kaitlyn, who was 25 years old, jumped from her 7' bedroom window after engaging in a heated argument with Crystal Tyson.

She reportedly headed into the woods towards Jackson County, TN, barefoot and wearing a blue, sleeveless pajama top and white and blue polka-dot pajama shorts.

Everything that Kaitlyn owned other than the clothing described was left behind, including her phone, which was reportedly used to send messages described as "cryptic" the morning of her disappearance.

Search dogs are said to have tracked her scent to the edge of the road, where they claim she must have gotten into a vehicle, but it's unclear if this is accurate. Her case has been suspicious from the start, and that suspicion has only increased over time. Her loved ones say that they were told that the original investigator lost evidence, including those final text messages.

On August 18th, 2021, the home on Turkey Town Road burnt to the ground, killing Crystal Tyson and destroying any evidence that may have been left behind. The cause of the fire has remained undetermined.

In February 2022, a search of the wooded area on Turkey Town Road was conducted, but the search revealed no signs of Kaitlyn Ledbetter.

Kaitlyn was described as 5' 2", 160 lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes. Her ears and her nose are pierced, and she has multiple tattoos, including music notes and a feather on her forearm and additional (unknown) tattoos on her upper arm, leg, and ankle.
