I need to say something I truly wish I didn’t have to say.
Two pairs of earrings disappeared from my display at Fox Den in September and three more have disappeared since last Thursday. A few more prior to September.
I work hard to keep Monkeytailz jewelry affordable and my display stocked with fresh pieces. Every pair is designed, cut, painted, sealed, assembled and packaged by me. The dollar amount may not seem huge to someone else, but 6 [edited to reflect the update on the 3 pairs that went missing in October] in a few months matter to a one-person art business. They represent materials, many hours of work and income I count on.
Please support small artists by paying for what you take. If something isn’t in your budget, admiring it, following my work, sharing a post or coming back another time all mean more than you know. Taking it is not harmless.
I love creating these pieces and sharing them with my community. I simply need my work—and the work behind it—to be treated with respect.
