Did you know an adult tarantula has to harden their Exo skeleton for weeks after they molt? This Theraphosa stirmi (Burgundy Goliath Birdeater) just molted a day ago and her fangs are completely red because they are still soft! You need to wait to feed tarantulas for at least a week for smaller t’s, and up to a month for larger t’s, after they molt, so they don’t break their fangs! 🦗🕷️
