Maple, Kielwood, or Carbon Shaft -Which one is best for you?
There is no right answer and here is why..

Maple Shafts have a traditional wood feel, have a natural feedback, and a familiar look. This type of shaft does hold moisture and requires more caution and care when using. Most cue sets come with the standard Maple shafts and are often budget friendly.
KIELWOOD ๐ฅ

Kielwood Shafts are maple shafts that have been specially heat-treated through a torrified process. This process removes moisture, sap, and organic compounds. This process gives it a darker color and helps it stay more stable as humidity changes. Itโs a good option for players who enjoy the traditional maple feel when hitting the cue ball.
CARBON FIBER ๐ฏ

The carbon fiber shaft is durable, easy-to-clean option that resists dents and warping. Many carbon fiber shafts are designed for low deflection, which means the cue ball gets pushed less to the side when you hit it with sidespin.
If you are set on the traditional maple shaft but want better deflection, wood shafts are an option as well. Performance depends on how the shaft is built, not just its material.
The best choice comes down to what feels comfortable, hits well for you, works with your environment and fits your budget.
