I think we're long overdue for some full transparency....

Many came through our doors between the garage sale and the ice cream stand during FFD and asked if the theater will be open again.

We've been testing the waters the last few months with small events. If people aren't coming on a small scale, it's hard to try and open on a bigger scale.

We are no different than any other business, I'd people don't come, we can't keep our doors open. This is definitely a passion project that we don't want to see end.

More transparency, the only entities making any money from this place right now are the company we pay to let us show the movies, the insurance company and the utility companies. I was asked a few times why the packages and it is because we were trying to make it affordable. The attendance from the last event didn't even cover the cost of the DVD, much less the Actor's Guild cost.

This is not a sob story or a pity party, these are the facts. Everyone wants the theater to be open again, but then they don't come. The decision was made to show movies on Wednesdays in the summer because a lot of our community is gone to cabins or campers on the weekends.

So, for tonight's event, we've changed it up and decided not to offer it as a package. Concessions will be still available NO outside food or drink will be permitted.

We have considered bringing it back as a conventional theater on a weekend basis, but if that happens, we would be looking at fall.

I truly hope to see you at Keith's tonight, so we can continue to bring our community together.
